Full Specifications
Pearson's quietest manual chute is designed to improve the operator's experience and to minimize animal stress, helping you move cattle through easily and efficiently. The Prime XL (shown) and the standard Prime chute without the built-in palp cage can be fitted with any of Pearson's available head gate or tail gate options – both the self-catch head gate and the gravity head gate with optional rear control allow single-operator use.
Why do we say "true parallel" squeeze? Pearson engineered their squeeze chutes to hinge at the front and the rear of the squeeze section, for even side pressure along the length of the animal's torso. Not all parallel chutes operate in this same manner; some might instead choose to squeeze only in the rear, which can move the animal forward toward the gate as it squeezes. We're not saying that's a bad system design, we're simply choosing to highlight the difference.
What cattle sizes can it handle? Like the Prime hydraulic chutes, this true-parallel unit opens to 30" wide to accommodate your large bulls and down to 9" to give precise control over your calves.
What floor type does it have? Pearson squeeze chutes come standard with full steel floors with heavy-duty plating. Your cows are walking on the same floor every time, not whatever mud happens to be underneath. Reliable traction, easy cleaning.
Does this one have a vet/palp cage? The Prime XL shown includes a built-in palp cage. The regular prime chutes can accept a bolt-on palp cage as an option.
What other access to the animal can it give me? Pearson's Prime chute access features are what makes them well-suited for vet or doctoring work. This chute offers full access to the animal, through 50/50 branding gates up top and the 60/40 split doors below, with full side exits on both sides for emergency release. The standard neck door on each side has a viewing window.
Can I move it? Wheel kits are available - $700.00
